Gujarati Cultural Association (GCA) of Bay Area, California is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable and educational organization established to promote humanitarian efforts within the community, preserve Gujarati cultural heritages and traditions, educate the youth, celebrate Indian festivals, and enhance networking amongst the larger Bay Area community. Founded over 40 years by first generation Gujaratis, GCA has thousands of members and is becoming one of the largest cultural organizations in the west coast. Each year, GCA organizes numerous activities and events throughout the year to promote Gujarati/Indian traditions, and bring excitement, values and unity to the Bay Area community.
CPA Audited Reports for the year 2018 and 2019 are available under the document section. Please log in to your account to view them.
The ongoing COVID 19 situation has prevented GCA from organizing its annual events during the second half of the membership year 2019-2020. This includes our annual Ski Trip, Dhuleti celebration and our popular Annual Picnic. Given the continuing situation, it is highly unlikely that we will be able to organize our hallmark event, our Navaratri Garba, this year. In light of the situation and by way of gratitude for your continuing involvement with GCA, the Board of Directors has unanimously approved extending, without requiring payment of renewal fees, the membership for all existing GCA members. This means that if you were a member of GCA for the year 2019-2020, your membership is automatically renewed and extended for the year 2020-2021. Please note, however, that this does not convert a regular member into a life member or otherwise impact the category of membership. You will continue to be a member of GCA in the same category as you were for the membership year 2019-2020.
This membership renewal decision will not apply to new members who will have to pay a membership fee for becoming a member.
